Neroli and Rose is a fantastic combination of essential oils, an incredible fragrance which will not fail to make you smile, breathe in deeply and experience the aromas of Summer - the sunny fragrance of oranges and roses. A great combination to raise your spirits, to relieve anxiety, insomnia and banish the blues ! To relax and soothe with its sedative, emmenagogue and anti-inflammatory properties - particularly useful for those that suffer with PMT !  

Neroli and Rose Oils are fabulous gentle astringents, for poor circulation and mature skin, dilated and broken capillaries, for skin that needs regenerating and tender loving care. Soap making Ingredients, all weighed out on a scale.

20 oz of Olive oil

2.5 oz Lye

7.5 oz Water

10 drops Neroli Essential Oil

20 drops Rose Essential Oil

Equipment that you need.

Steel pan

Pyrex jug

Candy thermometer

2 wooden spoons

Stick blender

Eye protection and rubber gloves (health and safety !)

Greaseproof paper

Plastic cartons or silicone cake molds. 

Soapmaking instructions for Neroli Essential Oil and Rose Essential Oil Soap.

1. Put water into jug, place jug in sink.

2.Open window, don eye-protection and rubber gloves.

3.Gently sprinkle lye into the water, mix gently,with wooden spoon, it will get very hot.

Take care not to splash it about.

4.Leave the jug in the sink.

5.Heat the oil in the steel pan, over a gentle heat until it reaches 110F, use the candy thermometer.

6.Test lye temperature when it is also 110F, gently add into the heated oil.

7.Mix lye and oil together using the stick blender.....carefully !

8.When the mixture resembles creamy custard and is at the point where a drizzle of the mix will lay briefly on top of the mixture, "trace" has been reached.

9.Add the Neroli essential oil and Rose essential oil into the mixture, give the mix one last gentle zizz with the stick blender to fully incorporate the final ingredients.

                                 Thats It !

Now pour the mixture into your chosen mold.

Smooth down mix.

Cover with greaseproof paper.

Wrap blankets over the top and walk away for 2 days.

After 48 hours, take out of the molds.

Place onto greaseproof paper and leave for 5 weeks to "cure".

After 5 weeks the soap is ready.
