If you would like a blend of Essential oils and not just the Lemon aroma, halve the amounts, so half Lemon Essential Oil and half the other essential oil. Essential oils that blend well for these uses below, that will smell wonderful and work effectively together are;

Cinnamon and Lemon Essential oil, Clove and Lemon Essential oil, Lavender and Lemon Essential oil, Lime and Lemon Essential oil, Oregano and Lemon Essential oil, Rosemary and Lemon Essential oil, Orange and Lemon Essential oil, Tea Tree and Lemon Essential oil, Thyme and Lemon Essential Oil.

To make an antibacterial spray - for use throughout the home.

Use any of the blends given above.

Into a spray bottle put 250ml of water and 20 drops of Essential oil (ie: 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil and 10 drops of Lemon Essential Oil). Use in any area that you would normally use an antibacterial spray.

Homemade Natural Cleaning Products in the Kitchen.

Natural household cleaning solutions start in the kitchen......the limonene in lemons cuts through grease, its antibacterial and antiviral properties ensuring that surfaces are kept cleansed and germ free.

Super clean and grease free surfaces are achieved by adding a cup of water,a cup of white vinegar and 20 drops of Lemon Essential oil, put the solution into a spray bottle and use as required.

To clean and deodorize a microwave - mix together a teaspoon of baking soda, a teaspoon of vinegar and 10 drops of lemon essential oil, wipe down the microwave, clean off with clean water.

Another super spray to clean and disinfect - for general use around the kitchen - mix a cup of water with a quarter of a cup of vodka and 20 drops Lemon Essential Oil, put this into a spray bottle, swish it together gently to mix. Spray to clean and disinfect surfaces.

To clean and deodorize the dishwasher - put a cup of white vinegar and 20 drops of Lemon Essential oil into the rinse compartment of the dishwasher and run the cycle, for sparkling glasses and crockery too !

Floor Cleaner - a cup of white vinegar, 20 drops of Lemon Essential oil, !0 drops Lavender Essential oil and 2 tablespoons of liquid soap, added to a pail of hot water.

Chopping boards - place a teaspoon of salt onto the board, squeeze lemon juice onto the salt and rub across the board, rinse off with fresh water, stand to dry.

Natural Homemade Cleaning Products - Liquid Dishwasher Soap

Take 500 ml liquid soap (see homemade soap recipe below) and to it add;

10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

10 drops Rosemary Essential Oil

10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

Mix together well and use 20 ml per wash.

Lemons in the Laundry !

Stain Removal - scrub the stain with equal parts of lemon juice and water.Wash with a cup of lemon juice added to the wash cycle. For super stubborn stains, sprinkle cream of tartar onto the stain and leave for a few minutes, wash in hot water and then wash and rinse with lemon juice added to both the wash and rinse cycles.

Removal of Mildew and Rust spots - sprinkle the affected area with salt, over the top of the salt, liberally squeeze lemon juice, all over it. Place into direct sunlight, leave it for several hours, brush off the salt when dry and launder with a cup of lemon juice added to the final cycle.

Brighten those Whites - Add one cup of water with one cup of lemon juice to the rinse cycle to whiten your white wash.
